Sir,
This is to inform you that I am Amrita Banerjee, a student of class IX of your school. I am staying in hostel of your school. My parents live at Shyamnagar, a small village 30 km away from our school. I also inform you that I have a sweet grandma, staying with my parents. I have got my parents’ letter yesterday. From the letter I come to know that she is suffering from serious illness.

Since, I have lived in the school hostel, it is my earnest request to you to kindly allow me a three days leave, beginning tomorrow so that I may go home. The leave will help me to see my Grandmother at her death bed.

I shall be highly obliged if you kindly grant the leave for three days.
